Hillary Clinton Joins Bluesky: A Rising Competitor to X

Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has officially joined Bluesky, following in the footsteps of Barack Obama, who recently made his first post on the platform last week. Clinton confirmed the authenticity of her new account through an Instagram Story and a post on X.

In her first message, Clinton highlighted the Wisconsin Supreme Court election set to take place on Tuesday. This election has garnered significant attention from various parties as it could influence the state’s policy direction, including decisions on abortion rights, redistricting, and other critical issues.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk has reportedly donated more than $20 million to support Republican candidate Brad Schimel. He is also said to have contributed around $250 million to Donald Trump’s 2024 re-election campaign. Similar to his previous strategies in supporting Trump, Musk provided two Schimel voters with checks worth $1 million each.

As Elon Musk’s ties with the Trump administration grow stronger, Bluesky is emerging as an alternative platform for those who disagree with Musk’s policies and X’s shift toward right-wing politics.

Although Bluesky’s user base is still smaller than X’s, this open-source platform has already attracted over 33 million users. With more public figures like Clinton and Obama joining, Bluesky continues to establish its reputation as a serious competitor to X.
